Abstract: This Indian construction industry is quiet large and is important to various sections of the economy. It is the second largest industry in India, next only to agriculture. According to the industry estimates, construction accounts for more than 40% of the national expenditure and at the same time, happens to be the second-largest employment generating industry in the country with over 16% of the nation's working population dependent on it.
